Nira Right Bank Canal Construction Railway
A 100 mile(160km) long irrigation canal was built to irrigate the right bank of the Nira River in Satura District. The construction was undertaken by the Bombay Presidency Public Works Department and was completed in 1937-38.
The records show that vrailway equipment was supplied to the project by 1932 [1].
