The Ondal-Baboissola Railway opened 1864, constructed by the Tarkessur Railway Company and worked by East Indian Railway(EIR), incorporated into EIR 1915 as part of the ‘Ondal Loop Line EIR’. The line from Ondal to Baboissola was 2.03 miles (3.2km) in length.‘This line was constructed by the Tarkessur Railway Company and worked by EIR under an agreement up to 1914. It was acquired by the State and incorporated into EIR on 1 Jan 1915' [1] .
