Phulera was situated in Jaipur State. It was an important railway colony on the Rajputana-Malwa State Railway, from 1900 became the Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway
There was a hospital maintained by the Rajputana-Malwa State Railway.
It was one of those railway colonies along the Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway whose Railway Institute dances were so well regarded that people would travel for up to six hours by train to attend.[1]
