However in 1926 the following is recorded "Messers. Parry and Company’s light Railway runs from At [[Tiruchendur]] to [[Tissianvilai]] touching there was an interchange the port of [[Kulasekarapatnam]], which has shipping connection with Colombo and Tuticorin" <ref>[https://books.google.fr/books?id=SzWvq8EYBwUC&pg=PA133&hl=fr&source=gbs_toc_r&cad=3#v=onepage&q&f=false "llustrated Guide to the South Indian Railway – 1926"; page 133]; Retrieved 19 Dec 2017</ref>. It must be assumed that the railway was completed by '[[Parry and Company]]' as a private line ''No further information has been found'' Note: '[[Parry and Company]]' were a long established trading company with diverse business interests including shipping and insurance as well as in the sugar and fertilizer industries .
