First published 1965 by Society for Army Historical Research in conjunction with the Army Museums Ogilby Trust, reprinted 1988 and 1992. The 1988 and 1992 editions are available at the British Library UIN: BLL01009540097 and UIN: BLL01012358760 respectively. For those with suitable University access, the 1965 and 1988 editions are available on the HathiTrust Digital Library. Also currently available in a reprint 1992 edition, which in turn is available online on the Ancestry owned pay website fold3.com, see [[British Army#Historical books online2|Historical books online]] below.
