Todd, Finlay & Co
The 'Todd, Finlay & Co' of Rangoon, Burma was established by two Scotsmen, James Todd and Thomas Findlay. They were the managers and were operating the Burma Steam Tug Co [1]
In May 1864 'Todd, Finlay & Co' purchased the assets, vessels and goodwill of the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company for £16,200. The fleet originally consisted of four steamers and four flats (as barges were known in south Asia) . The buisinees had been managed by 'P Henderson & Company' from Glasgow. (See Irrawaddy Flotilla Company for more information)
