Ziarat was the summer headquarters of Sibi District, Baluchistan.[1] Earlier (before 1903) it was the summer headquarters of Thal and Chutiali District.[1]
History
The British government bought the land to build the civilian town from members of the Sarangzai tribe in 1885.[1]
