Chronology
- 1854 raised as the 3rd Madras (European) Regiment
- 1842 renamed the 3rd Madras (European) Infantry
- 1858 taken into the British Army
- 1862 renamed 108th Regiment of Foot
- 1881 amalgamated with the 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot to form The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers
- 1968 merged with the Royal Ulster Rifles and the Royal Irish Fusiliers and became the Royal Irish Rangers
