Chronology

  • 1702 raised as the 1st Regiment of Marines
  • 1714 converted to infantry
  • 1751 became the 30th Regiment of Foot
  • 1782 became the 30th (Cambridgeshire) Regiment of Foot
  • 1881 amalgamated with the 59th Regiment of Foot into The East Lancashire Regiment
