Synopsis

Ghilzai tribesmen threatened to cut communications between Kabul and Kandahar and they were confronted by a force sent by General Nott. The initial party under Capt A W Taylor was reinforced by a detachment under Capt W Anderson. They united at Naurak and confronted the Ghilzais at Tazee on 16 May.
