- 1802 became the 82nd Regiment of Foot (Prince of Wales's Volunteers)
- 1881 amalgamated with the 40th (2nd Somersetshire) Regiment of Foot to form The Prince of Wales's Volunteers (South Lancashire Regiment)
- 1938 became The South Lancashire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's Volunteers)
- 1958 amalgamated with The East Lancashire Regiment, to form The Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Volunteers)
