The Rewari-Ferozepore Railway was under construction in 1881 with Hugh Lewin Monk of the PWD Railways Department as Engineer-in-Charge. [1]
The line became a branch of the Rajputana State Railway which became Rajputana-Malwa State Railway(RMSR) in 1881-82; together with a number of existing State Railways.
All these railways were worked by Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway(BB&CIR) State Railways.
In 1900 the jurisdiction of the portion of the Rewari-Ferozepore Railway lying within Jind State was ceded by the Raja of Jind State to the Government of India(GoI) [2]
