The Walajah Road-Ranipet Railway was a short 4 mile (6km) branch line of Madras Railway(MR) linking Ranipet to the mainline.
The line was in operation in 1899 but date of opening has not been determined. [1]
MR became Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway(M&SMR) in 1908
