  • 1755 raised as the 60th Regiment of Foot
  • 1756 became the 58th Regiment of Foot
  • 1782 became the 28th (Rutlandshire) Regiment of Foot
  • 1881 amalgamated with the 48th Regiment of Foot to form The Northamptonshire Regiment
