Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company

The Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company was established in 1945 at Tatanager, Jamshedpur to manufacture locomotives and other engineering products. The factory was built on the site of the Peninsular Locomotive Company which had been closed. The factory produced Steam and later Diesel locomotives until 1974, and now used to produce motor vehicles. [1]
