Villupuram-Dharmavaram Railway
The Villupuram-Dharmavaram Railway was a state funded metre gauge(MG) railway and part of the Villupuram-Guntakal Railway which opened in 1893. The Dharmavaram to Guntakal section was made over to the Southern Mahratta Railway [1].
The Villupuram-Dharmavaram section was handed over to the South Indian Railway (SIR) and become part of the SIR network [2].

The following personnel were deployed from the Public Works Department and engaged on the Villupuram-Dharmavaram Railway survey and construction

- William Hanbury Pettingall Sherman, Executive Engineer from 1890 to 1891 [3].
- Henry George Frederick Smith, Executive Engineer in 1890 [3].
