Spelling Note
- ‘Nerbudda’ River’ in the Central Provinces is given in the Imperial Gazetteer [1];
- ‘Narmada River’ is the alternative name [2].
The majority of references in historical documents use the spelling Nerbudda – this is the form adopted by Fibis.

In order to provide clarity Fibis have use the adjacent (Town) and the Railway Company in each Bridge description.
Nerbudda (Satpura Branch Line) Bridge BNR
The bridge over the Nerbudda River carried the ‘Bengal-Nagpur Railway’ 2ft 6in narrow gauge ‘Satpura Railway’ from Jubbulpore southward to Nainpur and Gondia.
The Bridge consisted 5 spans of 200-feet(61 mtr) and 1 span of 150-feet(46mtr)[3].
