Alexander Izat
Alexander Izat (1844-1920) 1863, joined the Indian Public Works Department as Assistant Engineer, Hyderabad(PWD)[1].

- 1870, transferred to Railway Branch - Public Works Department (PWD), served in various parts of India and was instrumental in initiating and carrying out many metre-gauge extensions [1].
