The Imperial Gazetteer states the town "is connected with the Rajputana-Malwa State Railway at Daosa station by a road running via Lalsot, and will be the terminus of the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur branch now under construction", this being an extension to the Jaipur State Railway and opened in 1907.
