  • 1857 raised as 7th Regiment of Punjab Infantry from loyal elements of the 2nd and 7th Punjab Police Battalions
  • 1861 became 19th Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1864 became 19th (Punjab) Bengal Native Infantry
  • 1885 became 19th (Punjab) Bengal Infantry
  • 1901 became 19th Punjab Infantry
  • 1922 became 1st/14th Punjab Regiment
  • 1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition
