Kuranga-Okha Railway

The Kuranga-Okha Railway was a metre gauge(MG) branch of the Okhamandal State Railway, that opened in 1922 [1].

In 1923 the operation and maintenance of the Okhamandal State Railway was passed to the Jamnagar and Dwarka Railway. [2].

Okha Port was opened on 14 Feb 1926 and the internal MG railways were operated as the 'Okha Port Trust Railway' which connected to the MG Jamnagar and Dwarka Railway network [3].

Saurashtra Railway came into being in April, 1948 with the amalgamation of a number of state railways which included Okhamandal Railway. [4]
