Bombay-Ahmadabad BB&CIR Main Line
Broad gauge(BG) line, first section opened 1860, completed 1865 linking Bombay via Surat and Baroda to Ahmedabad, 310 miles(496km); with southerly suburban service extension reaching Bombay Back Bay in 1870 and a northerly extension in 1871 to Viramgam, giving a total of 350 miles(563km). [1]
