The Yesvantpur Dod-Ballapur Railway was a section of 20 miles(32km), constructed by the Princely Mysore State Durbar as a metre gauge(MG) section of the ‘Mysore State Railway’. The section from Yesvantpur to Dod-Ballapur(see spelling note) opened in 1892
