Railway Achievements
- Lahore & Peshawar Railway; 2nd Class Executive Engineer from the Public Works Department was in 1868 employed on the construction of the Lahore & Peshawar Railway [1]
- Alexandra Bridge, construction of a major bridge for the Punjab Northern State Railway(PNSR) over the River Chenab. The PNSR was the first attempt under the newly formed Public Works Department - Railway Branch to construct the line from Lahore to Peshawar, 270 miles(435km).'Henry Lambert' was the author of a significant Report for the 'Institution of Civil Engineers' covering the period of construction 1871-76. [2]. It is not known the period that Lambert was deployed to this project that was undertaken by the PWD-Railway Branch.
