William Coupar Rennie (1843-1891)

  • 1863 he passed the necessary examination in London for an appointment in the Indian Public Works Department, and on the 24th of June of that year was appointed a Probationary Assistant Engineer. On arrival in India he was posted to the Berar Division, in the province of Hyderabad, Deccan, where he remained till the 23rd of February, 1865, when he resigned the Government service [1].
