Trained at Royal Indian Engineering College, Cooper’s Hill, Surrey England
- Public Works Department; 1885, Assistant Engineer [2].
Railway Achievements in India
- State Railways; 1887, Assistant Engineer [2].
- Promoted to Executive Engineer; 1885 [2].
- North Western Railway; 1890, Executive Engineer [3]
- Mari-Attock Railway; 1893, Engineer-in-Chief; 1898 Superintending Engineer; 1904 Chief Engineer [2].
- Kalka-Simla Railway and Delhi-Umballa-Kalka Railway, Chief Engineer [4].
- 1906 he attained the rank of Chief Engineer, first class.
- Reporting on light railways in Ceylon [4].
- Kashmir Railway Survey, acting as Engineer-in-Chief[4] . The date is not specified but the railway was opened in 1890 [4].
- 1908 appointed Director of Railway Construction, subsequently Chief Engineer under the Railway Board 1890 [4].
- 1910 retirement
- 1913 died whilst supervising the construction of a light railway system for the State of Patiala [4]. This must refer to the Patiala State Monorail Trainways.
