Sikhanwala Quarry Railway

The 'Sikhanwala Quarry' at Nishtarabad, Sargodha District was initially developed by the Punjab Public Works Department(PWD) to supply stone to the 'Emerson Barrage' which was under construction from 1937 until 1939. From 1939 until 1942 the Quarry supplied stone for the 'Kalabagh Barrage Construction'. - see separate pages for further information
A broad gauge(BG) railway system was used to transport the stone to the different work sites [1].
