Bhopal-Itsari Railway

The Bhopal-Itarsi Railway comprised two sections:-

Together they formed the Bhopal-Itarsi Railway a broad gauge(BG) line linking Bhopal and Itarsi.

Initially worked by Indian Midland Railway(IMR) and amalgamated into Great Indian Peninsula Railway(GIPR) in 1900 [1], to become part of the GIPR Midland Division

The railway was further extended from Itarsi in 1914, the Itarsi-Nagpur Railway finally reaching Nagpur in 1923/4. The Bhopal-Itarsi-Nagpur line became part of the GIPR Delhi-Chennai mainline in 1929.
