Regimental flash

The flash, also known as the pagri (puggaree) badge, affixed to the pagri around the sun helmet in India, consisted of two outer stripes of green and an inner stripe of white.

Mentions the Territorial Force 4/South Wales Borderers (Brecknockshire Battalion) where there were deaths from heatstroke. This is possibly an alternative name for the 1/1st Brecknockshire Battalion which served in Aden.
