  • 1839 raised as 2nd Bombay (European) Regiment
  • 1844 renamed 2nd Bombay (European) Fusiliers
  • 1858 taken into the British Army
  • 1862 renamed 106th Regiment of Foot (Bombay Light Infantry)
  • 1881 merged with the 68th Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry) to form The Durham Light Infantry
  • 1968 became 4th Battalion The Light Infantry
