The route of the line and initial construction had been undertaken by the ‘[[Rajputana-Malwa State Railway]]’ (RMSR) until 1900 when taken over by BB&CIR.

The ‘Rewari- Phalera Chord ‘ was a ‘Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway’(BB&CIR) metre gauge(MG) chord line, 133 miles, opened 1904-05 connecting [1] Rewari via Narnaul and Reengus to Phalera on the Delhi-Ahmedabad BB&CIR Main Line.
