- 1783 renamed the 2nd Bengal European Battalion
- 1796 renamed the 2nd Bengal European Regiment
- 1803 absorbed by The Marine Battalion
- 1822 re-formed as 2nd Bengal European Regiment with volunteers from 1st Regiment
- 1830 absorbed by 1st Regiment
- 1839 re-formed as 2nd Bengal (European) Light Infantry from a nucleus of 1st Bengal (European) Regiment
- 1850 renamed the 2nd Bengal (European) Fusiliers
- 1859 renamed the 2nd Bengal Fusiliers
- 1862 renamed the 104th Regiment of Foot (Bengal Fusiliers)
